LEADERSHIP JOHNS CREEK SEE THE CREEK PROJECT RIBBON CUTTING SET FOR OCTOBER 10th

10/10/2020 - 10:00 am - 10/10/2020 - 11:00 am

Although the Leadership Johns Creek class of 2020 had to be postponed because of COVID-19, the teams continued to plan to see their group projects to completion.  We are pleased to announce that the See the Creek team will be hosting a ribbon cutting and dedication of their interactive mural project at Newtown Park (located at the concession stand across from the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater) on Saturday, October 10th at 10 am. The mural is called “Everyone Has a Seat in Johns Creek” and was created by internationally known artist Kelsey Montague, (https://kelseymontagueart.com .)  According to Leadership Johns Creek president Heather Redrick “We are so proud that our class of 2020 leaders remained focused on completing their group projects even through a worldwide pandemic. The mural will be enjoyed by the citizens of Johns Creek as well as visitors to our city for years to come.”

The team members who diligently planned, raised funds and worked so hard together to bring these seats to Johns Creek include: Alex Almanza, Taña Welch, Chad Smith, Jacob Breeding, Camille Christopher, Carol Massie, Ron Best, Laura Rosser, Monica Rouse, and former Leadership Johns Creek Executive Director Kris Custis. The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.
